Oliver Miller

Bishop & Miller, one of the region’s leading independent Auctioneers and Valuers, is taking part in a fundraising 'Antiques Roadshow' style valuation event at Trinity Hall, Stowmarket, to help raise essential funds for the refurbishment of the hall on Friday 27 April, 7.30 pm-9.30 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door for £6.00 per person with all proceeds going towards the refurbishment.
The valuation event will be all be hosted by expert and managing director of Bishop & Miller, Oliver Miller. He says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the local community to come together to support the
refurbishment of Trinity Hall whilst also possibly uncovering a few hidden treasures in their possession."
Oliver continues "I’ll be at this special fundraising event sharing my knowledge of the extensive range of items and I hope to see you as many people as possible come along for what is sure to be a good evening out!"
The fundraising for Trinity Hall is all part of a vision is to make the nineteenth century building fit for purpose, providing a more functional and attractive facility not only for the residents of Onehouse, Harleston and Shelland, but for the wider and growing community of Stowmarket. As part of the valuation event on Friday evening there will be drinks and cake served for visitors. Previously at a regional valuation day a Dutch box,
thought to be nothing but brass by its owner, turned out to be gold and sold later at auction for £51,000 plus commission. Last year’s valuation events and auctions also saw a fine cased pair of Mortimer percussion pistols which went under the hammer in the October and sold for £15,200 (including buyer's premium).
